Description:
The problem :

when entering names in a database, users often enter duplicates.

We need a test routine that tries to see if a proposed new entry resembles to an other one taken out of a list.

There is no need for extensive testing, only a 'first level' check. Of prime importance is capability to detect absence or presence of dots, spaces and foreign accents. Simple mispelling detection is also desirable.

Names to be tested are typically company names.

For example, the test should ideally detect such misspellings as

E I du Pont de Nemours
E.I. DUpont de Nemours
Du pont
DuPont
E. I. du pont
Nemours
Némours
Nmeours

etc...

A VB routine is prefered, but a component is also OK.

Deliverables:
Complete source code of all programming work done
