Description:
I know perl, not C++ but this is a hit tracking system & the overhead with mod_perl is to high, so i need it rewritten in c++ so i can kill the compile time overhead of regular perl without sucking all the memory from our system with mod_perl.
It will be used on apache 1.3.24 (or whatever the newest stable version before 2.x was.. i dont remember off hand.
This script will be hit very very hard, on the average of 40 times a second, so efficiency & memory usage are the most important aspects. The server this is all residing on is very strong & loaded with a ton of memory & awesome disk io.
all variables must be compiled in, so no config files need be read in order to kill additional overhead.
Attached you will find the perl script & one of the accompanying text files.
*Additional note: I would be very impressed if somebody managed to add in a caching feature so that all template files read are stored into memory, perhaps even build this as an apache module so that the templates AND the program are all memory resident. Cause speed is of the essence here :-))
Deliverables: Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done.
Complete copyrights to all work purchased.
Platform:
Slackware Linux, newest stable kernel. Apache 1.3.24.
Must be 100% finished and received by buyer on:
