Description:
2 Programs in VB:
1) The first program will reside on the server and when the printer is free the program should take a file (with the oldest date) from the PRINTER NAME directory and send the file to the printer named PRINTER NAME. After this is done, the original file should be deleted. The interface should allow the operator specify the PRINTER NAME with the PRINTER PATH and the location that the LOG directory will be saved. Additionally their should be a Start/Stop button that pauses the software.
NOTE: All of the user&'s file will be generated by choosing “print to file” option from any windows application using the normal “print command”.
Additionally the software needs to append a daily log file and write the FILE NAME <tab> TIME SENT TO THE PRINTER. The log file should be named “DATE + PRINTER NAME.txt”. When the DATE changes a new log file should be created automatically. Additionally, the program should write to a temporary file the contents of the PRINTER NAME directory and save the file in the LOG directory every minute. The title of the program should rename itself after these options are set such as “PRINT SERVER (PRINTER NAME - PRINTER PATH)”.
Multiple copies of this software should be able to run simultaneously. On any errors an ERROR.txt file should be generated and saved to the LOG directory.
2) The second program is a modified ftp client. The user will specify their LOG IN, PASSWORD, SERVER IP and DEPARTMENT (these preferences should be save-able to a preference file). And, then the user will select a file to upload named FILE NAME (or a user should be able to drop the file into the program from the Explorer).
The print size (height + width) of the file should be determined (automatically or asked of the user) and multiplied together (AREA = height + width). Additionally the file&'s name should be changed to DEPARTMENT + LOG IN + FILENAME + AREA.
The client should login and the user should have to choose which directory to save the file in (the user should not be able to upload to the root directory) and then the file should be uploaded and the user logged out. If the file is successfully uploaded the user should be alerted (FILENAME sent successfully). Additionally all other errors should alert the user; however, the software should alert the user when an error occurs and ask if it should retry.
Deliverables:
Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done.
Complete copyrights to all work purchased.

Deadline legal notes: All times are expressed in the time zone of the site EDT (UT - 5). If the buyer omitted a time, then the deadline is 11:59:59 PM EDT on the indicated date.
Remember that contacting the other party outside of the site (by email, phone, etc.) on all business projects < $500 (before the buyer's money is escrowed) is a violation of both the software buyer and seller agreements.
