Description:
This software will be used for security checking of "Badges" in events. The events area a seperated in diffrent Zones (usally 1-10) The database shoud be on a server and should be access´s on client´s runing MS IE.
The clients are using barcode scanners or RFID scanners to get the data input. After the input a simple lookup is done (on the server) and the result is shown on the screen (Name,photo etc). Every lookup should create a logg in the database. There should also be a "Admin soft" for management of the database.
Is this possible !?!?
Deliverables:
Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done.
Complete copyrights to all work purchased.

What you are looking for is possible using any reader that supports RS232 output and/or a software / hardare 'keyboard' wedge.
I have previously developed software using barcode readers to improve the processing of invoices using similar methods.
Providing an ASP page that 'loops' around accepting new scans, handling the database lookup, and updating a log is straight forward enough.
It may be useful to two pages one that simply 'logs' a scan the other both 'logs' and 'displays holder information'. This way with RFID stations/badges you could just log movement within an area that didnt require 'controlled' access.
It may require a small amount of JavaScript to ensure the user doesnt have to position a cursor into the input box.
The bid posted is to:
a) develop an administration system using ASP under IIS with an Access or SQL database. This will allow entry of badge holders & access zones and reporting both to HTML and CSV for further analysis (XML also available if required).
b) provide an ASP page to handle the lookup & display of information from the database, including logging the lookup.
c) provide an ASP page to simply log a scan of a badge.
d) provide a list of barcode scanners & products that claim to function with the required solution.
Should you wish to have products evaluated, tested and/or installed I can arrange this on completion of the initial work.
