Description:
I'm looking for a Software which is able to exchange the icon compiled into an exe file in command line (so it can work in batch).
Our problem is we are using Visual Basic, and there it's not possible to specify a directory where the file is located at batch compile ... so we need to look forward on an other solution.
Deliverables: Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done.
Complete copyrights to all work purchased.
Platform:
Windows 95/98/NT/XP/2000/ME, DOS Console
Must be 100% finished and received by buyer on:
May 30, 2002 EDT
Deadline legal notes: All times are expressed in the time zone of the site EDT (UT - 5). If the buyer omitted a time, then the deadline is 11:59:59 PM EDT on the indicated date.
Special Conditions / Other:
needs to work in console, in a batch run ...
Remember that contacting the other party outside of the site (by email, phone, etc.) on all business projects < $500 (before the buyer's money is escrowed) is a violation of both the software buyer and seller agreements.
We monitor all site activity for such violations and can instantly expel transgressers on the spot, so we thank you in advance for your cooperation.
If you notice a violation please help out the site and report it. Thanks for your help.

I have provided a demonstration for you. Please refer to the zip attachment.
Run 'ReplaceIcon test.exe'.
Notice that the icons in test.exe are now solid black.
Adding the ability to load in an ico file will not be difficult. I propose a Win32 console application created with MS Visual C++ 6.0. The application will have three parameters: the exe file, the icon index to replace, and the ico file. I would also need to know what error checking you would like.
Condition: The new icon file must contain the same number and sizes of icons contained in the icon file being replaced.
I can deliver within one day of accepting this bid.
Thank you.

Sorry I had a small problem :) Try this one on 64.exe though it may still crash or not work on other exes. This would be fixed in released version.
I'll take $100. Go ahead and accept this bid and I will finish up the program and deliver it completely tested and with full source code. |
