Description:
The system will eventually be ported to mysql. The front end will stay as Access, the backend (tables) will be moved to mysql tables.
Given the attached Inventory Database, the system must be able to:
1) Request for a User&'s First Name (which must be in the Employees table) Use this User Id to save who entered the data along in the rest of the operations, Orders and Delivery and Inventory Adjustment Tables.
2) Orders - a) When entering an Order, the Products Database must be updated as Received Inventory (the on-hand quantity must be increased) b) The last received Order Number must be saved in the LastOrder field of the Products Table. c) A printable totalized purchase invoice must be generated displaying the order details.
3) Deliveries - a) When entering a Delivery Order, the Products Database must be updated as Received Inventory (the on-hand quantity must be decreased) b) The last Delivery Order Number must be saved in the LastDelivery field of the Products Table. c) A printable totalized Sales invoice must be generated displaying the order details. d) A printable packing slip must be generated displaying the order details.
4) A manual inventory adjustment mechanism must be possible by using the Adjustments Table, in which the user can enter + or - quantities together with a comment in order to explain the reason of the manual adjustment.
5) An Inventory Report per Customer
6) A Delivery Report by Product
7) An Order Report by Product
8) An Inventory Adjustments / Log Report which includes a sequential history of all the operations on a Product.
The code must use SQL queries and statements, keeping in mind that the backend will be ported to mysql, so the tables will be “Attached” tables via mysqlodbc.
Deliverables: Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done.
Complete copyrights to all work purchased.
Platform:
Access 2000 with mysqlodbc connection to a mysql database, running on Linux. The workstations have Windows 98 / Access 2000.
