Description:
WE ONLY WANT SERIOUS BIDDERS PLEASE
We have a product that (among other things) presents text based reports for viewing. We would like to fix the titles on the report page so that they are stationary while scrolling (vertically) through the report. We don't want to use a frames based solution (we'd rather use CSS). Attached you will see a based html file that does what we'd like with the following problems:
1) As the user scrolls left or right the titles no longer align with the column headings. There needs to be some JavaScript written to position the headings to always align with the scrollable region (the report detail) when the scrollable region moves left or right.
2) The height of the scrollable region (the report detail) is static. It needs to be computed based upon the height displayable region of the browser minus the height of the headings. Again, this is probably a JavaScript issue. Percentages won't work because this report is only an example. Other will use a different number of fixed heading lines. It needs to be calculated.
3) The width of the report detail is 100%. The problem with this is that the user would need to use two different sets of scrollbars for navigation. Our report detail scrollbars for vertical navigation and the browser scrollbar for horizontal navigation. We need to ONLY use the report detail scrollbars.
4) As the browser is resized (to a small size) there should only be a single set of scroll bars active. In other words, the only scrollbars that should show a thumb nail is the scroll bars in the report. If you have questions on this one, see the attachment and it may become clear.
The attachment is just a simple HTML file that has had all unrelated JavaScript and CSS stuff removed to help keep it simple for this bid. If there are any questions, please feel free to ask.
Deliverables: Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done.
Complete copyrights to all work purchased.
All html and JavaScript needed to accomplish the task. It should be able to pass the following tests:
1) Scrolling the detail section left and right keeps the heading section aligned properly (column headings and details).
2) Scrolling the detail section up and down always keeps the headings at the top of the display (without any jumping or flashing).
3) Resizing the browser to a small size does not activate the browser scrollbars. The only scrollbars that have a thumb nail should be the detail section scrollbars.
4) The detail section always occupies the entire available vertical region when the browser is resized.
