Aim: To develop applications with Microsoft Agent® as the user interface.

Functionalities implemented:

> Sending Email using SMTP protocol, with attachment support.
> Receiving Email using POP3 protocol and decoding attachments.
> A mini reminder application for appointments.
> Intelligent application launching based on user input.
> Interacting with user via Jokes, Facts, etc.
> Voice commands and text to speech support (Built in functionality of Microsoft Agent server) for interactivity and reading out Email.

Duration: 6 months part time.
Result: Successfully implemented all requirements.
Tools used: Visual Basic 6.0, C++

2) 2D game in DirectX (Done with Indiagames Ltd. as second module of B.E project):

Aim: To develop a 2D game in DirectX.

Functionalities
implemented: Implemented a tank-war game with the following features:
> Large scrollable game playing area.
> Standalone map-editor.
> Sound support.

Duration: 6 months part time.
Result: Successfully implemented all requirements.
Tools used: C++, DirectX SDK

3) Jabber instant messaging client:

Aim: To develop an instant messaging client using the Jabber protocol.

Functionalities
implemented:
> Chatting with other Jabber, Yahoo, MSN, Hotmail, ICQ clients.
> Group chat between Jabber clients.
> File transfer between Jabber clients.
> Smiley support.
> Popup messages.
Duration: 3 months
Tools used: Visual Basic 6.0

4) Mini projects:I have also worked on some small projects mentioned below.
> Completely implemented Bus reservation system in Visual Basic and MS Access using DAO.
> Worked on a simple Java MDI text editor.
* Implemented the core file functionalities such as saving and loading of files.
* Designed the menus, toolbar and the MDI interface.
* Implemented the search functionality.
